Always Rejoice!
"Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say rejoice!" (Philippians 4:4) No, it is not a typo, it DOES say rejoice. And, no I don't feel like rejoicing all the time. But that verse was written by the apostle Paul, not on a good day when everything was hunky dory. He wrote it while he was in prison. So – the question is, do we wait to rejoice until everything is great? Until we feel like it? Or do we rejoice now, today? Rejoice that you are alive! Rejoice in God's creation! Rejoice that technology can connect you in ways once thought impossible! Rejoice that our first responders are on the job to protect us – and that our doctors and nurses are on the job to help us. Rejoice first … and you might feel a smile forming! (If you are feeling anxious or depressed, Text PA to 741-741 to get help 24/7.)
